Welcome to our Troop's website! We are Brownie Troop 195 of Land O' Lakes, Florida. Brownie Scouts are girls between the ages of 6 and 10 or generally in the 1st grade through the 3rd grade. Our Troop is a bunch of creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated Girl Scouts. We work hard at living by the Girl Scout Promise and Law, earning our Try-It's badges, and having lots of fun at the same time. We love to plan and create, learn and do, we are excellent artists, crafters, good caring citizens, and most of all, awesome Girl Scouts!

Meetings...
Our Troop meets on (generally) the 1st Monday of the month. Sometimes our schedule shifts a bit due to holidays, or school vacation days. Please take a look at our CALENDAR pages for specific meeting days. We have events that we attend on non-meeting days also like Service Unit Sponsored Events and of course field trips! Please see our weekly newsletter page for up to the minute event and meeting information!

Uniforms and Dues...
Our uniforms consist of the Official Brownie Girl Scout Vest or Sash, (we tend to like the vest as you can fit a few more badges on it!) other uniforms pieces are not mandatory, and although they look nice, can be costly (although eBay is a great resource!;>) In fact, a girl is considered to be in uniform if she is wearing her Brownie Pin. We do want the girls to feel good about themselves, and looking good as a scout is a part of it! If finances are difficult, and you feel you cannot afford a uniform vest or sash for your daughter, please speak confidentially with the Troop Leaders, and we will work something out together. We firmly believe that Girl Scouts is for Every Girl, Every Where! We would never want a girl to feel she could not be a part of our great Brownie Scout Troop because of finances! Dues are $5.00 per meeting, you can pay per meeting, or monthly, or for the whole year. Dues covers the cost of our Try-it's badges, Craft Supplies, Paper Goods, trips and events,and generally anything the Troop needs that fundraising and our Sponsors don't provide until we establish a fruitful bank account. Speaking of Sponsors, do you know of anyone (or any companies) who would like to sponsor our troop? Please let us know! And as mentioned previously, if you are experiencing financial hardship, please speak with the Troop Leader- it will be held in the strictest of confidence- and we will work together! Thank you!
